Privacy Policy
The short version
Blood Pulse is built around a single principle: your health data belongs to you. Readings, trends, and history never leave your device. The only data we process is your camera image during AI extraction — and even that is discarded immediately after reading.
What we collect
Nothing stored on our servers. Blood Pulse does not maintain user accounts, does not collect personal identifiers, and does not operate any database that holds your health information.
The only server call the app makes is:
- Image upload for AI extraction:When you photograph your BP monitor, the image is sent to our API endpoint hosted on Vercel. It is passed to Anthropic’s Claude AI for vision processing and immediately discarded — never written to disk, never logged, never stored.
All readings (systolic, diastolic, pulse, timestamps, notes) are stored exclusively in your device’s local SQLite database. We have no access to this data.
Subscription and payments
Subscriptions are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) using their respective in-app purchase infrastructure. Blood Pulse does not handle payment card numbers or billing details directly. RevenueCat is used to manage subscription state — it receives anonymised purchase tokens from the platform and communicates subscription status to the app. No health data is shared with RevenueCat.
Third-party services
- Anthropic (Claude AI): Receives camera images during extraction. Images are not retained by Anthropic beyond the duration of the API request.
- RevenueCat: Manages subscription entitlements using anonymised purchase identifiers. No health data is shared.
- Vercel: Hosts the API endpoint. Standard server logs (IP address, timestamp, response code) may be retained for up to 30 days per Vercel’s infrastructure policy.
Analytics and tracking
Blood Pulse contains no analytics SDK, no crash reporting service, and no advertising network. We do not track in-app behaviour, device identifiers, or usage patterns.
Data export and deletion
Because all data lives on your device, you are always in full control. You can export your complete reading history as a CSV file at any time from the History screen. Deleting the app removes all stored data permanently.
Children
Blood Pulse is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the effective date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
